Now this is what I'm talking about!! Jeezy is on the cover of the April/May issue of VIBE magazine. Earlier in the week, the internet was going crazy over Trey Songz' VIBE cover but we now have an official Jeezy cover.
According to Rap Radar, this cover of Jeezy wasn't even authorized to be out yet....so I'm thinking someone is in trouble right now. Well, since it's their ass and not mine, enjoy more Jeezy photos below:
Is there some type of symbolism going on with the whole tie burning thing? I'm just saying!
And if you have been stuck under a rock this whole time and didn't see the Trey Songz cover, check it out below:
Here's just a little taste of what you can expect from Wacka Flocka's remix to "O Let's Do It" featuring Diddy and Rick Ross. Girl fights, weed smoking, cars and cameos equals a video the masses will enjoy! SMH! At least the song is dope right? There's also the question of........when will the full version video be out? It doesn't say in the trailer so enjoy the snippet below:
To set things off right, I'm happy to see both Nicki Minaj and Drake on the cover of XXL's May issue! I think Nicki and Drake are hard working artists and deserve the spotlight. Many people hate and say negative things but life is short and I really don't have time for the drama. You can't tell me there isn't at least one song you like can you? I mean both artists are coming with some serious bangas and their albums aren't even out yet!! Which brings me to Nicki Minaj's new video called "Massive Attack" below:
Can someone please explain to me the concept behind this video? If you are a reader of this site then you know I heart me some Nicki Minaj but what the hell?! The song is not doing anything for me. REAL TALK! Was there a specific need for an Asian Barbie Army? I'm just saying? And what in sams hell was Amber's role? Can anyone tell me? I'm soo lost. Maybe I have to see a gay guy recite this song and maybe just maybe I can get into it......if you don't know what I mean when I say "have to see a gay guy recite it" watch below (around the 2:08 mark) to fully understand:

The Freedom Tour made it's stop in Atlanta last night with performances by Alicia Keys, Melanie Fiona and Robin Thicke. I'm hearing the show was great and had lots of celebs in the crowd from Whitney Houston, Tameka Raymond, Jermaine Dupri and Dondria just to name a few. Melanie Fiona opened up the show with Robin Thicke following right behind her. The main attraction, of course, was Ms. Alicia Keys...soon to be Mrs. Swizzy!! Check out some photos from the event below:
And here is some behind the scenes footage for you to enjoy as well below:
So I'm going to believe what I'm hearing and say that it's official. The breakup between Reggie Bush and Kim Kardashian is real! Everyone seems to think the breakup had to do with Reggie Bush cheating but it had to do with a more deeper issue between the two stars. The issue at hand, according to X17Online.com, is that Reggie couldn't see himself commiting or better yet marrying a woman who had a sex tape. Now, call me crazy but I knew this from jump! No man wants to wife up a chick who has a sex tape number 1 and who is known to be passed around. I'm not saying Kim Kardashian has been passed around but I am speaking in general terms.
Jump offs seem to think they have the upper hand but in actuality ladies you're nothing but a fuck piece. No man in their right mind wants a wife who's a slut (unless it's with him only and behind closed doors) and no man wants to physically see that their woman was with another man!! It's that simple! Men are visual creatures....this is a proven fact.....so to them.....out of sight, out of mind. For example, a woman has children from a previous relationship and enters a new one. Her new man will not have a problem with the childrens father as long as things are respectful from all parties involved. Now let that new man see a sex tape of his new girl with her childrens father?!!!.......hmmm......he'll be heading for the door!! Plain and simple!! And while I think Kim Kardashian is getting the bad end of the stick, Ray J is coming out like a champ!! YOU HAVE JUST BEEN SCHOOLED!!
"Family Business" is the name of the new reality series for Brandy and Ray J. I've heard a couple of things about this and have also seen some things floating around the internet but decided to never post until I had something a little more concrete.....so here is a sneak peek into what you can expect from the show below:
This new reality show will of course be featured on vh1 on April 11th at 9pm. Will you be watching?
I'm loving me some Rasheeda!! I just love her style! No homo! She's pretty, sexy, yet a little gangster. My kind of chick. Anywho, I'm loving how most of the females in the game are coming together to do good music but to also show the fellas we can do it to. ;-) Check out Rasheeda's version of "I Wanna Rock" featuring Kandi of Xscape and Diamond formerly of Crime Mobb below:
Let's keep this going ladies!! We need to stop hating on the next female and get our own!! There's too much room to just hog it all up for one person to shine! We can all shine!!
Trey Songz recently did a photoshoot with Complex magazine and brought it back to the days of rhythm and blues. The photoshoot Trey did was for the style feature for Complex's April/May issue. Check out some more photos and behind the scenes footage of the photoshoot below:
And here's the behind the scenes footage below:
Here's a new joint from Grafh featuring Jim Jones called "Bout That". For those of you who are not familiar, Grafh has been out for quite some time but has never received the recognition he deserves. I'm hoping he can make a name for himself since he is from my hometown of Queens!! Enjoy the new music below:
Any thoughts on the new joint? I likey!
You know.....at first I wasn't even going to pay this young lady any attention. I thought she was someone who had really low self esteem and was looking for attention. I realize she's getting everything she deserves and wants. However, I think she's jumping into the wrong arena to put folks on blast. I mean, even Superhead had enough damn sense to not put people's phone numbers on blast!!! I mean dang!!! She put everyone's phone number on blast from Joe Budden (who she claims hacked her Twitter account), Nelly, Lil Wayne, Yung Berg, Jae Millz, Gudda Gudda and more!!! This is really going to be insane but one slight error was made. She gives out Lil Wayne's cell phone number and says you can call and ask him if she used to mess with him but isn't Weezy in jail?! I'm just saying!! Enjoy the phone number blast to some of your favorite Hip Hop artists below:
I'm sure most of the numbers by now have been changed but DAMN!!! Was it that serious ma? You run around proudly proclaiming all the men you have slept with and at some point you are going to grow up and want to settle down and be someone's wife....I pray for the soul who decides to do that.
My question to the masses is "Since when has snitching become the in thing to do"? I'm just saying!!
The Dream is heavy at work doing what he does best. The R&B crooner is working on his new video for his single "Love King". I actually like the song although it sounds like he took the track from "Shorty Is A 10" and remade it into "Love King". Am I buggin or do you guys think the same thing? I need to know ASAP! Whatever your thoughts are, enjoy the behind the scenes footage below:
There is no official release date for his album but it should be here in the summer time!
The lovely and talented, Jill Scott, is gracing the cover of Essence magazine for their May issue. In this issue, Ms. Scott addresses everything from her new music, new movie and being a single mom. Being a single mom is a job in itself so if a woman can find time to do more......I applaud! Sometimes I can't figure out how I do it. ;-) Anyway, Jill Scott was recently all over the internet due to some comments she made on interracial relationships and although my children are products of an interracial relationship I can understand where she's coming from. Most thought she was being racist but I didn't take her comments that way. Here's what she had to say about the topic below:
My new friend is handsome, African-American, intelligent and seemingly wealthy. He is an athlete, loves his momma, and is happily married to a White woman. I admit when I saw his wedding ring, I privately hoped. But something in me just knew he didn’t marry a sister. Although my guess hit the mark, when my friend told me his wife was indeed Caucasian, I felt my spirit…wince. I didn’t immediately understand it. My face read happy for you. My body showed no reaction to my inner pinch, but the sting was there, quiet like a mosquito under a summer dress.
Was I jealous? Did the reality of his relationship somehow diminish his soul’s credibility? The answer is not simple. One could easily dispel the wince as racist or separatist, but that’s not how I was brought up. I was reared in a Jehovah’s Witness household. I was taught that every man should be judged by his deeds and not his color, and I firmly stand where my grandmother left me. African people worldwide are known to be welcoming and open-minded. We share our culture sometimes to our own peril and most of us love the very notion of love. My position is that for women of color, this very common “wince” has solely to do with the African story in America.
When our people were enslaved, “Massa” placed his Caucasian woman on a pedestal. She was spoiled, revered and angelic, while the Black slave woman was overworked, beaten, raped and farmed out like cattle to be mated. She was nothing and neither was our Black man. As slavery died for the greater good of America, and the movement for equality sputtered to life, the White woman was on the cover of every American magazine. She was the dazzling jewel on every movie screen, the glory of every commercial and television show. She was unequivocally the standard of beauty for this country, firmly unattainable to anyone not of her race. We daughters of the dust were seen as ugly, nappy mammies, good for day work and unwanted children, while our men were thought to be thieving, sex-hungry animals with limited brain capacity.
We reflect on this awful past and recall that if a Black man even looked at a White woman, he would have been lynched, beaten, jailed or shot to death. In the midst of this, Black women and Black men struggled together, mourned together, starved together, braved the hoses and vicious police dogs and died untimely on southern back roads together. These harsh truths lead to what we really feel when we see a seemingly together brother with a Caucasian woman and their children. That feeling is betrayed. While we exert efforts to raise our sons and daughters to appreciate themselves and respect others, most of us end up doing this important work alone, with no fathers or like representatives, limited financial support (often court-enforced) and, on top of everything else, an empty bed. It’s frustrating and it hurts!
Our minds do understand that people of all races find genuine love in many places. We dig that the world is full of amazing options. But underneath, there is a bite, no matter the ointment, that has yet to stop burning. Some may find these thoughts to be hurtful. That is not my intent. I’m just sayin’.
I totally understood her point of view and took no offense. I am not a white woman but I am Puerto Rican and have been victim to some stares and comments in my past. However, I don't deal with that anymore. Times have surely changed. But check out what Jill had to say about her own comments below:
Here is the full version video to Kelis' new joint called "Acapella". I can appreciate Kelis for keeping it different and zaney!! ;-) I'm sure Lady Ga Ga will be copying this concept for one of her own videos somewhere down the line.
For someone to just have had a baby last year, Kelis' body is INTACT!! And I don't know if anyone else noticed but is that Kelis' son in a nap sack on her back at the end of the video? Cute baby indeed!! Enjoy the video and dare to be different by clicking below:
In this exclusive Part 1 interview with Choke No Joke, we talk about the idea that he had about putting out a documentary for the nightclub once known as "The Tunnel". Choke No Joke alongside DJ Mello Mike Hype and Mr. Excitement started putting everything together to make their project complete and decided to add Funk Master Flex into their project since he was the premiere DJ at the venue during that time. Things start to get real ugly when Flex tells these 3 videographers that he wants 100% creative control over the entire project!! Check out what Choke No Joke has to say about the situation exclusively on HipHopGossipSite.com below:
This past Saturday, March 27th, Alicia Keys hosted her own official concert after party alongside The 400 Club and partied the night away at "DOLCE" ultra lounge in South Beach, Miami! Seems like Miami is the place to be for after parties and celebrations huh?! I'm thinking I'm going to Miami.......sans the children.....Momma needs a break!! Enjoy some more photos courtesy of 400 Life.com below:
Even Nas was there having a good ole time!
In the photo above, Alicia Keys looks like she's saying "Hey!! Don't just walk past me without saying hi!!"
Nicki Minaj's video shoot for her new joint called "Massive Attack" which features Amber Rose as a special guest. This video looks like it's lacking for nothing! I'm talking a group of Barbie girls, pink lambos, helicopters and more!! I'm loving that Nicki Minaj is soo different from what we are used to seeing and hearing. But REAL TALK, I'm gonna need that number to her plastic surgeon ASAP!!! Enjoy some more photos below courtesy of Karen Civil:
This music video was directed by Lloyd Banks' boss, 50 Cent. I think 50 should stick to his music and acting career and leave the directing to the professionals. I'm just saying! Anywho, this new joint from Lloyd Banks is crazzzyyy!! I'm loving how my New York artists are bringing back that real Hip Hop to the music industry. In fact, this joint is sooo New York it reminds me of an old Wu Tang joint. I can't seem to remember the name to that joint but I know one of my readers will know. ;-) If you know which song I'm talking about please hit me up and let me know but for now enjoy Lloyd Banks' new video called "Big Bully" below:
Lyfe Jennings has had a hard life but one would never guess that listening to his sultry voice. The brother has been locked up for 10 years and let's not forget about the drama with his baby momma.....who could forget that?! But nevertheless, Lyfe Jennings has decided to turn his life around and concentrate on his music. Check out his performance on WPIX for his single "Busy" below:
Don't forget Lyfe Jennings new album called "I Still Believe" will be out in stores on May 25th!!
Here is the official cover art for Trina's new album called "Amazin" which is due out in stores and online May 4th, 2010. She looks absolutely eloquent on the cover art and I heard she also had a listening party down in Miami yesterday for the new album. Here are a couple of photos of Trina on the red carpet of her listening event yesterday below:
Trina has definitely been keeping herself together because she looks great!! No homo!!

Here's a new video from R. Kelly called "Be My Number 2". I am sooo not feeling the title of this song because if I am not number 1 then I don't want to be bothered! Who has time to be anyone's seconds? I am soo not feeling the jump off movement that is going on these days but most women are choosing to be 2nd best and I have to wonder why?! Is it a lack of self esteem? Do you not feel you can do any better? Needless to say, I'll never knowingly or willingly be a second best!! So enjoy the new video from R. Kelly below and let me know what you think:
Did anyone pay any attention to the words in this song?! You can be my number 2 but you can never be my number 1!!! Outrageous!! And to think some hooker will be listening to this in her car and saying "That's my song!".
It's here folks! The official remix video for "My Chick Bad" featuring Diamond, Trina and Eve. Nicki Minaj is still in this video but she's doing her cameo thing. There are also special guest appearances by DJ Khaled and Rick Ross. I love the beginning of the video where Ludacris and the lovely ladies of the video are all doing the wop! Yes!! Bring it back!! Check out the video for yourselves below:
The ladies did their thing!!
Today T.I. has unveiled the newest "AKOO" cardigans for his Spring/Summer line. Will you guys be running out to the stores to cop one of these? Let me know and check them out below:
The new sportswear contemporary men's line is in stores now nationwide!!!
Here's the video for Red Cafe and Fabolous' joint called "I'm Ill". Love the song, hate the video. I think whoever did the video could've done a better job. The cameos were great! Jadakiss, Sheek Louch, DJ Envy, Akon and Avon just to name a few but I wish I could've seen them all better. The video is sooo damn dark but that's just my opinion. Enjoy their video below:
And here is the video for Snoop Dogg's "I Wanna Rock" G-mix edition below:
I'm scratching the shit out of my head right now trying to figure out why Jay Z wasn't in this video and why Snoop Dogg is only doing a cameo to his own video?! Does anyone have answers? Please let me know!
Kelis is bringing back CRAZY in her new video snippet for her joint called "Acapella". One thing I can say about Kelis is that she's always been wayyyyy ahead of her time. I'm not getting it right now but I'm sure a couple of months from now I will. The premiere for the full version of this video will be available at I Am Kelis.com on Monday, March 29th and her album called "Flesh Tone" will be out this summer. ;-) For now you can check out the video snippet of her new joint "Acapella" below:
(Click here to watch Kelis' "Acapella" video snippet here)
The full video for "Lil Freak" from Usher and Nicki Minaj is here folks! I know all of you freaks couldn't wait for this one to come out. ;-) There is a special guest appearance by Ciara and it looks like she's gambling with a bunch of chicks around her. And if I may add my own two cents in here......is this a video about a bunch of lesbians? Not that there's anything wrong with that but I'm just saying! I think a video like this being aired on BET is a little irresponsible since at that hour a lot of our youth are tuning in and are easily influenced. I don't want my kids thinking this is the thing to do. I think when my kids become of age they will be able to make their own decisions on what they want to do with their life. I'm already struggling with my oldest daughter about her sexuality, I don't need the images she sees on television telling her this is the cool thing to do!! Just my opinion but enjoy the video below:
